Plastic Bag Recycling

The Environmental Center is now accepting plastic bags for recycling.
Bags must be clean of food, garbage and any other debris to be recycled.

    • Case overwrap
    • Plastic overwrap from paper towels
    • Plastic overwrap from toilet paper
    • Plastic overwrap from other bundled paper products
    • Dry-cleaning bags
    • Newspaper sleeves
    • Flexible food-storage bags
    • Some flexible PE (polyethylene) packaging
  • Shipping & e-commerce materials
    • Flexible plastic shipping envelopes/mailers
    • Plastic shipping pouches
    • Stretchy plastic mailers

Plastic Bags NOT accepted for recycling:

  • Frozen Food Bags
  • Pet Food Bags
  • Net or Mesh Produce Bags
  • Chip Bags
  • Prewashed Salad Bags
  • Silage and Hay Bags
  • Meat Wrap Packaging
  • Compostable Bags (Place those at our organic recycling drop sites)
  • Shiny or crinkle films like floral wraps.
