Sharps/Medical Waste

Properly manage household-generated sharps and medical waste to ensure safety for Pope/Douglas Materials Recycling Facility and Waste to Energy employees and waste haulers.

Drop off properly containerized sharps, needles, and lancets at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility. Containers must be in any screw top bottle/container or approved red bio-hazard plastic puncture-resistant boxes. NO loose sharps or sharps in plastic bags will be accepted.
