Pope/Douglas helps businesses dispose of approved non-hazardous industrial waste through direct waste-to-energy incineration. These materials require separate handling rather than the regular MRF waste stream.
Specialty Burn Program
Pope/Douglas operates several specialty burn programs. Whether you’re a business or household, Pope/Douglas will help you do the right thing.
We are certified through CHWMEG, a third-party environmental certification agency.

Prepare your delivery
- Deliver materials in manageable boxes. No loose items are accepted.
- Maximum weight: 50 pounds per box. Maximum box size: 16 × 16 × 20 inches.
- Tape boxes, including bottoms and bottom edges, to help prevent leakage. Use an inner bag for containment.
- QuestarUSA Labpacker 20 boxes and smaller, paper-ream boxes, and similar boxes are acceptable.
- Steel or fiber drums are not accepted for incineration. PDSW has a barrel tipper to empty drums; confirm arrangements before delivery.
- For faster unloading, boxes may be stacked on a shrink-wrapped pallet.
Failure to follow facility requirements can result in additional charges or rejection. Unacceptable materials will be returned to the party delivering them.
