Drug Destruction
Unwanted or expired pharmaceuticals should be properly disposed of to prevent misuse and protect the environment.
There are several drop box locations to bring meds to for safe disposal.
Drop-Off Boxes
FREE confidential household pharmaceutical/drug drop boxes.
Douglas County Drop-Off Locations:
- Alexandria Police Department – located in the lobby area. Access on regular days/hours.
- **Brandon City Hall – located in the lobby area. (115 Front Street – Brandon). Access on regular days/hours.
- **Douglas County Sheriff’s Office – located in lobby area. (216 7th Ave West – Alexandria). Access on regular days/hours.
- **Pope/Douglas Solid Waste Management – located in office area. (2115 Jefferson Street – Alexandria). Access on regular days/hours.
- **Osakis Police/City Hall – located in the lobby area. (14 East Nokomis Street – Osakis). Access on regular days/hours.
Pope County Drop-Off Locations:
- Pope County Courthouse/Glenwood – located in main hallway. Access on regular days/hours.
- **Starbuck Police/City Hall – located in the lobby area. (307 East 5th Street – Starbuck). Access on regular days/hours.
