Funding Opportunity. $274K in funding now available to support the installation of vapor recovery systems at gas station underground holding tanks. This funding opportunity aims to reduce emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) during the filling of underground storage tanks at gas stations. Gasoline vapors, which often are emitted during the transfer of gasoline from a delivery vehicle into underground storage tanks, contain toxic substances that contribute to the formation of ground-level ozone, which is harmful to human health.Funding will be awarded for the voluntary installation of vapor recovery systems on an existing underground storage tank or during tank replacement, parts replacement and repairs on existing vapor recovery systems, and pressure testing after installation or repair of the vapor recovery systems.Applications due April 30th.#putwasteinitsplacewww.pca.state.mn.us/grants-and-loans/vapor-recovery-grants-for-gasoline-dispensing-facilities-in-... ... Remove this plastic stickers before placing items into the organics recycling for composting sort. #putwasteinitsplaceImportant reminder! Always remove produce stickers before tossing your food scraps into your organics in. Because produce stickers are not compostable and so small, they end up in the finished compost. Same goes for items like twist ties and rubber bands, watch out for these sneaky contaminants. For more info - hutchinsonmn.gov/composting/organics-cart-guide/ ... See MoreSee Less
